Smit Ovens was founded in 1936 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Today, our headquarters are in Eindhoven and we employ some 50 people. But our philosophy remains the same – to deliver optimal thermal solutions tailored to the needs of our customers and their markets. In the last 70 years, we have built up huge experience in a wide range of processes. We bring all this experience to bear when developing our solutions. We like to think of ourselves as a partner rather than a supplier, working with you to deliver thermal processes that maximize efficiency for high-volume production. Over 3000 of our installations are operating today in the display, glass and electronics industries. We are also increasingly active in the solar power / photovoltaics industry with more than 40 installations, many at global leaders in the thin film sector.
