Being part of the cargo vessel division of the Damen Group, the yard is specialised in the vessels such as short sea cargo vessels, oil tankers, large tugs and offshore vessels. In 1985 the Group developed, in close cooperation with ship owners, a range of dry cargo vessels and Damen Shipyards Bergum has extended this range ever since. These cargo vessels are now known under the name of Damen Combi Coaster and Damen Combi Freighters. At present vessels both dry cargo and oil products are built within the range of vessels up to 14.000 tons dead weight.
